KSRTC Plans to Increase Bus Services on High-Passenger Routes for Passenger Convenience

The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is preparing to enhance its bus operations on essential routes to accommodate larger crowds of passengers. The decision, made by Biju Prabhakar, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of KSRTC, aims to address passenger needs and generate income during the period from August 24 to 31. Temporary staff might also be employed to run buses on high-demand routes identified by depot chiefs. Additionally, the return of 525 decommissioned buses could potentially yield an extra income of Rs 25 crore for the corporation. Despite recent employee-related challenges, efforts are underway to maintain services, with salary arrears and benefits being distributed to employees.
