Google Meet now allows users to add up to 25 co-hosts to meetings

Google Meet, the tech giant’s video conferencing software, has received an update that includes a slew of new features for both free and Workspace users. The new features have been added to make meeting control easier.

The tech titan stated that the new features are some of the most requested by its users, with the ability to add up to 25 co-hosts for meetings being the highlight. Other enhancements include new moderation tactics and safety measures, as well as an updated Quick Access setting. Google stated in a statement that not all of the new features would be available to all users.

The new update was announced on the company’s workspace blog. According to the statement, Google Meet users would be granted permission to host a meeting with up to 25 co-hosts. The host has control over the people panel. Furthermore, all co-hosts would have the same access and rules as the primary host.

Furthermore, through the Quick Access settings, the host and co-hosts can now limit who can share screens, send chat messages, and mute all participants with a single click.
When these options are enabled, participants from the same domain can join the meeting via mobile or desktop.

Meanwhile, if it is disabled, participants will have to wait for the host to join the meeting, and only invited participants will be able to participate. Android users will begin receiving updates on August 16, while iOS users will begin receiving updates on August 30.
