Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police Chief Anil Kant assessed the security arrangements to be made in advance of the Onam celebrations on Thursday and issued instructions to senior police officers and district police chiefs via video conference.

The state police chief also directed that the Janamaithri beat and women’s police cells diversify their operations.
