P.R Sreejesh, goalkeeper for the Indian Men’s Hockey Team, is being lauded and recognised across the country for his critical role in the team’s historic medal-winning performance at the Tokyo Olympics. And now, in Sreejesh’s home state, one of his biggest fans has arrived with a surprise.

T Suresh Kumar, an auto-fuel pump owner in Kerala’s capital, Thiruvananthapuram, decided to give free petrol or diesel worth Rs 100 to people who go by the name Sreejesh as a reward for his outstanding performance! This surprise offer is valid until August 31 for any ‘Sreejesh’ who visits the Hare Krishna auto-fuel pump in Kanjirampara. Furthermore, they can take advantage of this offer once a week.

According to Suresh, the pump’s owner, this was the best way he could think of paying tribute to a valiant performer like P.R Sreejesh, who was instrumental in India winning a historic bronze medal after a 41-year gap. He claimed that many people had already benefited from the offer.
