Kareena Kapoor Considered Surrogacy Before Getting Pregnant With Jeh, According to Saif Ali Khan’s Immediate Reaction

In February 2021, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan welcomed their second child, Jeh Ali Khan. Kareena recently opened up about her second pregnancy after the release of her book, Pregnancy Bible. She admitted in an interview that she had a ‘fleeting notion’ about using surrogacy.

She told HT Brunch that she was considering surrogacy before her pregnancy with Jeh. “‘Should we do that?’ I wondered. Should we consider surrogacy?’ And Saif’s first thought was, ‘If we can have children, why not try to do it ourselves?’ And if that’s how God wants it (which could happen).”

She went on to say that surrogacy was like a fleeting thought “But he (Saif) was quite explicit as if to say, “Let us do it the correct way and see what happens.” That is exactly what happened. Carrying both of my children has also been the greatest delight for me.”

Kareena shared that she is happy with the decision to birth the two boys herself. “I actually enjoyed it all. I was one actor who actually did not give a damn. My face was bloated, my feet were bloated. I was all over the place. The best part is that my brands and a lot of people I work with did not really care about that. Having two children, it should not matter any size that you are,” she told the tabloid.

Notably, Kareena was filming Laal Singh Chadha with Aamir Khan during her first few months of pregnancy. She is currently awaiting the release of the film and is set to begin work on Veere Di Wedding 2 with Swara Bhasker, Sonam Kapoor, and Shikha Talsania.
