Kuruthi Twitter Reaction: Here’s What Netizens Think Of The Prithviraj Starrer!

Kuruthi, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, is currently available on Amazon Prime Video. Manu Warrier’s sociopolitical thriller was launched today (August 11) on the popular streaming site. The film is the director’s first foray into Mollywood. He previously directed the Bollywood film Coffee Bloom (2014), starring Arjun Mathur and Sugandha Garg.

Kuruthi is Prithviraj’s second OTT release, following Cold Case, which was also released on the same platform in June. The film, which also stars Murali Gopy, Roshan Mathew, Shine Tom Chacko, Srindaa, Manikandan R Achari, and Mamukkoya, has received a positive reception from the audience. The thriller’s features include a clear storyline, great performances by the characters, and gorgeous cinematography by Abhinandhan Ramanujam.

Responding to the positive comments and reviews from the public, the leading man, Prithviraj, resorted to social media to show his gratitude. He penned, “Thank you for your incredible response to #KURUTHI. The reception has left me speechless!”

The film’s songs were composed by popular music director Jakes Bejoy and were written by Anish Pallyal. The storey centres around Ibrahim, a rubber-tapping labourer who gets into difficulty when a cop comes into his house with a young murderer looking for a place to stay for the night. Kuruthi was created with the intention of being a theatrical release. The film was scheduled to be released in theatres on May 13, but the release date was pushed back due to the second wave of the pandemic and the consequent lockdown in Kerala.

Akhilesh Mohan edits the film, which is produced by Supriya Menon and distributed by Prithviraj Productions. So, while Kuruthi gains widespread acclaim, let us see what the Twitterati have to say about the film.
