Bizarre! A man killed when a flying peacock collides with his Royal Enfield Bullet

Thrissur: Indian roads are known for surprises, and the country has one of the highest rates of road fatalities each year. According to authorities, a 34-year-old man died and his wife was injured after losing control of his motorcycle and falling on the road after a flying peacock hit him at Ayyanthole near here on Monday (August 16).

Pramosh, the dead, was on his way to the Thrissur railway station to pick up his wife when the bird flew from a nearby rice field and struck him while crossing the road.

Pramosh lost control of his two-wheeler and collided with his wife on the road.

Despite being brought to the hospital in a car, his life could not be saved, according to authorities. His wife has been hospitalised to a local hospital. According to them, the couple married only six months ago.

The peacock died as well, and forest officers removed the carcass from the road. According to the police, a case has been filed.
