Actress assault case: The court orders the arrest of the approver

Kochi: The court ordered the arrest and production of Visnu, who is named as an approver in the actress attack case. The trial court issued the order after Vishnu failed to appear in court several times.

The court ordered that he be arrested by the Superintendent of Police for the district of Ernakulam.

Vishnu did not appear in court for the trial on Thursday. The trial procedures for the case are currently underway. As a result, if the approver does not appear in court, the trial will be delayed.

The Supreme Court had issued strict instructions to conclude the trial as soon as possible. As a result, the trial court issued a non-bailable warrant against Vishnu on Tuesday for failing to appear for the trial. Due to his absence from the trial on Thursday, the court issued an order directing police to arrest the approver.

Meanwhile, Vishnu sought treatment for post-Covid health issues at Kalamassery Medical College. On Tuesday, the prosecution presented his OP ticket to the court, confirming this.
