Shocking! Shatrughan Sinha’s Twitter account was hacked, and his name was changed to ‘Elon Musk’

Because of the raging COVID-19 pandemic, cybercrime has skyrocketed. Shatrughan Sinha, the Congress leader and actor, is now bearing the brunt of it after his Twitter account was allegedly hacked by cybercriminals. His account name has been changed to ‘Elon Musk.’ Aside from that, they replaced his display profile photo with a photograph of the rocket launch.

However, it appears that the hackers did not change the password because Sinha recently tweeted about his party colleague Shashi Tharoor, who was apparently unaware of the changes to his profile.

Sinha said in a tweet two hours ago, “What a fantastic conversation between two popular, respectable, acceptable, able politicians!” Shashi Tharoor, the astute intellectual par excellence, and Mauhua Moitra, the outspoken, courageous, and forthright TMC leader, as he converses with her on India@75. They discuss how times, democracy, and so on have changed over time. Your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated. Happy New Year! An interview not to be missed!”

It’s also unknown whether Sinha has access to his account. Sinha recently left the BJP to join the Congress, and he ran for the party’s ticket in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from the Patna Sahib constituency in Bihar against the BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time a celebrity has been targeted in this manner; earlier this year, BJP leader Khushbu Sundar’s Twitter account was hacked. In July of this year, the Twitter account of Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) was hacked and used to impersonate Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

In September of last year, one of Prime Minister Narenda Modi’s Twitter accounts was hacked.
