Saaho – Movie review : Prabhas hits again with a modern day Baahubali

Saaho was one of the most awaited film. The reason behind this excitement is obviously the fan base of the lead actor, Prabhas. He rose to popularity with the blockbuster film, Baahubali.

Plot

Saaho is a typical big budget commercial film. It has all the ingredients that a commercial flick should come with. The film revolves around the lives of some underworld dons and the cops who runs behind them. There are some gains and pains, hits and misses, betrayals and victories.

All these shades that the film has showcased were complemented with lot of action sequences. Being an action thriller movie, one cannot say it was unnecessary.

Performance and technicality

In case of technicality saaho has touched the epitome of perfection. Everything was perfect. Be it the sound, background score, camera, graphics and everything has maintained a proper standard. In fact the budget might have gone this high to film it in such a way.

Performance wise also Saaho is a flawless film. Prabhas as the lead hasĀ  maintained the hype of his very genuine at the same time super-human character, towards the end. A handsome hunk with lot of action.

We have already seen the skills of Shraddha Kapoor is doing action sequences in Baaghi. With her performance in Saaho she has proved it once again. Along with her outstanding action and dance, Shraddha has given life to the character of Amritha Nair.

Other side cast including Neil Nithin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Devan, Lal and everyone else did justice to their respective characters.

Criticism

On the critic point of view or when we keep these mass big budget elements aside, Saaho has not had an effective plot. Somewhere it prompts the audience to think whether the film is made to sell with the popularity of the lead actors especially Prabhas.

If the plot was more engaging and had some proper content, with all the other things being so perfect Saaho would have been a historical flick worth remembering.
