7 married women wish they could tell their single selves

Getting married is a huge step in a person’s life because so many things change afterward. It’s all about cooperation, and there’s no room for just “I” after you’ve started your life with your partner. Marriage teaches us many things, including sacrifice, compassion, and teamwork, to name a few. Furthermore, it alters us as individuals, bringing to light many aspects of our personalities that we were previously unaware of. In light of this, here are 7 married women’s wishes for their single selves.

1. You don’t have to be perfect.
“All of the time I spent trying to be flawless, while enjoyable at times, was unnecessary. It’s not about having perfect hair, a flawless face, a great figure, or a perfect existence. My hubby adores me with or without any of these things. If I’m pleased, he’ll be happy. If I’m down, he’ll be down as well. It would have been helpful to know this when I was looking for a companion. The appropriate man appreciates you for who you are.”

2. The right guys are unconcerned about little matters.
My hubby doesn’t mind that sometimes I want to be a glamorous girl and other times I just want to spend the entire day in my pajamas. He doesn’t care if my toes are polished or if I’ve waxed my hands. He only cares that I am happy, healthy, and in love with him. “I wish I had some assurance while I was single that I would find a man like this someday.”

3. Appreciate every single second
“Though I adore my spouse and my married life, I miss my single days – girls’ nights out, spending money wherever I pleased, and only thinking about myself. But one day, a boy will sweep you off your feet, and you’ll never be able to do it again! You can’t get it back, so make the most of it.”

4. Always prioritize quality above quantity.
“Having a few solid female friends when you’re single becomes even more crucial after you’re married because it becomes more difficult to meet them on a regular basis. Things would have been much easier if I had understood back then that I didn’t need a swarm of friends, but only a few of those who genuinely care about me. To all the single ladies out there, look for decent friends before worrying about having a lot of them.”
