Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid wants good relations with all countries, including India

According to a top Taliban official, the militant group wants good relations with all countries, including India, and has pledged not to allow Afghan soil to be used against any other country.
“We want to maintain good relations with all countries, including India, which is a key player in the region. Our hope is that India’s policy will be based on the needs of the Afghan people “On Wednesday, Pakistan’s ARY News channel quoted Mujahid as saying.

On August 15, the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan, just weeks before the United States was to complete its troop withdrawal after a two-decade war. As Afghan security forces trained and equipped by the US and its allies melted away, insurgents stormed across the country, capturing all major cities in a matter of days.

We have previously stated that our soil will not be used against any other country. When asked about the possibility of a resurgence of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Islamic State in Afghanistan, Mujahid stated, “Our policy is clear.”

According to the channel, he believes Pakistan and India should sit down together to resolve all outstanding issues because they are neighbours and their interests are intertwined.
