Kerala Faces Continued Rainfall; Fishermen and Residents Urged to Exercise Caution

Kerala is expected to experience continuous rainfall today, with the possibility of heavy rain in isolated areas of South and Central Kerala, prompting the issuance of a yellow alert in three districts – Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, and Ernakulam.

The Meteorological Center has cautioned residents about potential thunderstorms and strong winds accompanying the rain, particularly in hilly and coastal regions. Fishermen are advised to exercise caution due to the likelihood of high waves and storm surges.

Although there is no fishing ban in the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts, residents and fishermen are urged to remain vigilant. Heavy rainfall was reported in the hilly areas of Thiruvananthapuram district last night, although the intensity of rain has decreased in recent hours.
