Ingredients

For the Crust

3 tbsp powdered sugar

2-3 tsp cold water

½ tsp salt

1 cup unsalted cold butter

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ tsp cinnamon powder

2 tsp unsalted butter

2 tbsp sugar

2 small apples (cut into small pieces)

For Decorating

  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 5 apple slices
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 2 tsp sugar

Preparation

Sift the all-purpose flour and powdered sugar into a bowl.

Add the unsalted cold butter and mix well using your palm.

Introduce some water and mix it into a soft dough. Cover the dough with cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to an hour.

In the meantime, heat butter in a pan and add apple slices, cinnamon powder, and sugar. Mix until the apple slices are soft. Lightly mash and set aside.

For decorating, mix apple slices, lemon juice, cinnamon powder, and sugar in a bowl. Heat in a microwave oven for 4-5 minutes.

Take a 7-inch pie tin, spread the refrigerated dough, and prick it with a fork.

Add the prepared apple filling and decorate the pie with the heated apple slices.

Rub butter on top, sprinkle sugar, and bake for 25-30 minutes in a preheated oven at 150 degrees Celsius.

After baking, spread apricot jam on the pie for an extra burst of flavor.
