In just 24 hours, India has reported 45,352 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of active cases to nearly 4 lakh

New Delhi: India reported 45,352 new COVID-19 cases and 366 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total infection caseload to 3.29 crores and the death toll to 4,39,895, according to the health ministry on Friday (September 3, 2021). After 45 days, India’s active cases have surpassed the 4-lakh mark (3,99,778).

With 34,791 recoveries reported in the last day, the recovery rate is 97.45 percent, and the total tally is 3,20,63,616. More than 67.09 lakh vaccine doses were administered until 7 p.m. on Thursday, bringing the total number of vaccine doses administered to 67 crore.

 

 

In contrast, Delhi reported 39 COVID-19 cases with no fatalities. Kerala, on the other hand, saw 32,097 new COVID-19 cases, while Maharashtra saw 4,342 new cases.

The government made the RT-PCR test mandatory for passengers arriving from seven additional countries, including South Africa, Bangladesh, and China, on Thursday.
