Health Tips for Kids During Monsoon

Monsoon is season of infections and allergies. Children are the most prone to it. So they should be provided with adequate immunity. This can be achieved only through intake of nutrients, proteins and irons in the daily diet. So add these in their diet.

Protein

Eat food items rich in protein like fish, chicken, lean meats, eggs, nuts, milk, yoghurt, paneer cottage cheese, soya products, tofu and peanut butter, provide a good source of protein which help in building muscle and other tissues along with immunity in a child’s body.

Health benefits of fasting

Iron

Red meat, beans, green leafy vegetables, tuna, eggs, dried beans, iron-fortified cereals etc are rich in iron content. It helps in making the red blood cells in the body which helps in carrying oxygen.

Vitamin C

Have vitamin C fruits like orange, lemon, sweet lime, grapefruit are good for health. Even other sources of vitamin C like guava, papayas, tomatoes and bell peppers.
