With 42,766 new COVID-19 cases, India now has 4,10,048 active cases

New Delhi: India has reported 42,766 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 3,29,88,673 cases, with 308 fatalities bringing the death toll to 4,40,533. According to Union Health Ministry data, active cases in India account for 1.24 percent of total cases, with a caseload of 4,10,048.

In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has increased by 4,367 cases. For the past 70 days, the ministry has reported fewer than 50,000 new cases per day.

The weekly positivity rate is 2.62 percent, which is less than 3 percent over the last 72 days, and the daily positivity rate is 2.45 percent. With 38,091 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries increased to 3,21,38,092, while the recovery rate increased to 97.42 percent.

So far, 53.00 crore tests have been performed. While the Nationwide Vaccination Drive has resulted in the administration of at least 68.46 billion vaccine doses.
