Kerala’s government has released a new edition of ‘Surili Hindi’ to help students learn the language

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has launched the new edition of Surili Hindi in an effort to encourage more students to learn Hindi. V Sivankutty, the state education minister who launched the program, stated, “Samagra Shiksha Kerala is in charge of carrying out the project. To make Hindi learning more appealing to students, the new edition of Surili Hindi will include techniques such as animations, puppetry, and picture transitions.”

This year’s activities are geared toward children in grades 5 through 12. Stories, poems, and plays are included in the module.

The Surili Hindi project’s first edition was launched in the academic year 2016-17 with the goal of improving Hindi learning in all upper primary schools. During the 2018-19 academic year, the project focused on students in grades 5 through 8.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, more digital content provided the impetus for Hindi learning as education transitioned to an online mode.

“Through the Surili Hindi 2020 project, digital video content was created by composing selected poems and distributed to children in classes 5 to 8 via WhatsApp groups of respective grades,” an official said on Monday.
