Spook fest: Watch 13 scary movies and earn Rs 95,000!

Are you a brave soul who enjoys watching terrifying horror films? Here’s a fantastic opportunity for you to make money doing what you enjoy the most. Getting paid to watch horror movies sounds like a lot of fun, doesn’t it? A US company will pay you $1,300 (Ra 95,000) to watch 13 horror films in October in exchange for feedback.

The company, FinanceBuzz, has reportedly taken this initiative to determine whether the size of a movie’s budget affects its effectiveness. They will hire this horror movie fan for the position of ‘Horror Movie Heart Rate Analyst.’ They will be exposed to 13 of the “scariest movies ever made.”The hired ’employee’ will have his/her heart rate monitored on Fitbit, the company announced in a release.

“In honour of the upcoming spooky season,” the company said in a release, “we at FinanceBuzz are dying to know whether or not high-budget horror movies deliver stronger scares than low-budget ones.”

“You’ll help us discover whether or not a movie’s budget influences how dread-inducing it can be by wearing a Fitbit to monitor your heart rate while you work your way through the list of 13 movies,” it continued.

So, what exactly are these 13 horror films? Saw, Amityville Horror, A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place Part 2, Candyman, Insidious, The Blair Witch Project, Sinister, Get Out, The Purge, Halloween (2018), Paranormal Activity, and Annabelle are among the films on the list.

The company stated that in addition to being paid Rs 95,000, the hired person will receive a $50 (approximately Rs 3,680) gift card to cover the rental costs of the fright fest.

The deadline to apply for this spook fest of a job is September 26, but here’s the catch: applicants must be based in the United States and at least 18 years old.
