Mahima Chaudhry discusses the changes in Bollywood, saying that previously, “people only wanted a virgin who had never kissed”

New Delhi: Actress Mahima Chaudhry has been out of the spotlight for a long time, but her fans adore her for being herself and not being afraid to speak her mind. In a recent interview, Parde’s star opened up about how Bollywood has changed for female actors.

Mahima Chaudhry told the Hindustan Times in an interview, “I believe the industry is approaching a point where female actors are also making decisions. They get better parts, better pay, endorsements, and are in a much better and more powerful position. They now have a longer shelf life than previously.”

Speaking of her earlier days, Mahima added, “People would dismiss you as soon as you started dating someone because they only wanted a virgin who had never kissed. It was like, ‘Oh! She’s dating!’ if you were dating someone. If you were married, your career was over, and if you had a child, it was completely over.”
