‘No child deserves to be treated this way,’ Rahul Gandhi wrote to SRK in response to Aryan Khan’s arrest

New Delhi: An Indian National Congress (INC) leader reportedly wrote a letter to superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan following the arrest of their 23-year-old son Aryan Khan in an alleged drugs-on-cruise case. Rahul wrote in his letter, “No child deserves to be treated like this,” and he wished the parents strength.

According to India Today, Rahul wrote the letter on October 14, when Aryan Khan was being held at Arthur Road Jail.

“I’ve seen the good you’ve done for people. “I am confident that their blessings and goodwill will be with you,” said the letter. In his letter, Rahul also wished the family a speedy reunion.

Previously, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Shiv Sena accused the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of targeting Aryan Khan on the orders of the Centre.

NCP supremo Sharad Pawar and Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray had previously chastised the NCB for chasing Bollywood. The NCB is only interested in catching celebrities, photographing them, and making a lot of noise, according to chief minister Uddhav Thackeray.

On October 3, Aryan Khan was arrested in a drug case. On October 28, the Bombay High Court granted bail to the star kid after he had been imprisoned for about three weeks. He walked out on October 30, after all of the paperwork was completed.

Aryan had previously been denied bail by the courts twice before he was summoned to the High Court.

Although no drugs were discovered on Aryan, the NCB argued in court that his WhatsApp chats demonstrated his involvement in “illicit drug deals” and links with a foreign drug cartel. The High Court rejected this argument, stating that WhatsApp chats were insufficient evidence to prove that one of the accused supplied drugs to Aryan Khan.
