Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kedarnath Temple and inaugurate infrastructure projects worth Rs 130 crore in Uttarakhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Kedarnath Temple on Friday (November 5, 2021). PM Modi will arrive in the hill state on Friday morning to offer prayers at the temple and to dedicate Adi Shankaracharya’s reconstructed samadhi.

In addition, the prime minister will unveil a statue of the seer on the temple grounds and inspect the ongoing construction work.

The Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi has been rebuilt after being destroyed in the 2013 Uttarakhand floods.

In an interview with ANI, Bagish Ling, a priest at Kedarnath Temple, said, “We will all welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” PM Modi will arrive in the morning. He will perform the Maha Rudra Abhishek and pray for the nation’s well-being. He will also unveil Adi Shankaracharya’s statue. “Flowers have been used to decorate the temple.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Uttarakhand at 6.30 a.m. on November 5, according to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday.

Dhami stated on Twitter, “The Samadhi site of Adi Guru Shankaracharya has been completed.” Tomorrow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate it.Along with this, Saraswati Ghat, the residence of the pilgrimage priests, has also been ready, which will be dedicated tomorrow. PM will reach here at 6:30 am.”

This will be PM Modi’s second visit to the temple during his term; the last time he visited the Kedarnath temple was in 2019.

Following this, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate key infrastructure projects worth Rs 130 crores, including Saraswati Retaining Wall Aasthapath and Ghats, Mandakini Retaining Wall Aasthapath, Tirth Purohit Houses and Garud Chatti bridge on river Mandakini.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for multiple projects in the hill state and address a public rally during his visit to the shrine.

Meanwhile, in preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Uttarakhand and on the occasion of Diwali, the Kedarnath Temple was illuminated with colourful lighting on Thursday evening, and the ‘Aarti’ was performed at Kedarnath Temple. Dr. S S Sandhu, Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand, paid a visit to the Shri Kedar Nath Dham site today to review preparations. He assessed the ongoing reconstruction work in the Dham and directed the subordinate officers to complete the preparations.

On Diwali, PM Modi met soldiers in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir’s border district, and praised the brigade’s role in surgical strikes. On September 29, 2016, India conducted surgical strikes across the Line of Control in response to a terrorist attack on an Army base in the Uri sector.

On the occasion of Diwali, PM Modi also distributed sweets to army soldiers and interacted with them. In addition, the Prime Minister honoured and interacted with Army veterans in Nowshera, Jammu and Kashmir. In his address to the soldiers, he praised them for their efforts in defending Indian borders, calling them the nation’s “suraksha kawach” (armour). Earlier in the day, he paid tribute to service members who died in the line of duty.

Many world leaders, on the other hand, sent greetings on the occasion of Diwali. Naftali Bennett, Israel’s Prime Minister, wished his “friend” and Indian counterpart Narendra Modi a happy Diwali. “Happy Diwali to my friend Narendra Modi and all those celebrating in India and around the world,” he tweeted.

US Vice President Joe Biden also sent greetings to people around the world who were celebrating Diwali. “May the light of Diwali remind us that there is knowledge, wisdom, and truth in the midst of darkness. Unity emerges from division. From despair to optimism, “Biden stated this in a tweet.

“To Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists celebrating in America and around the world – from the People’s House to yours, Happy Diwali,” the tweet added.
