Signs that you’re not meant to be together

Sometimes the person you’re with isn’t the right person for you. And that is the harsh, unfathomable reality. Despite the fact that you’re both insanely attracted to each other, the connection just doesn’t happen. It’s not your fault, and it’s not your partner’s either. Aside from chemistry, there should be an emotional and mental connection, and you can’t force a relationship if it doesn’t exist. As a result, the universe always provides you with telltale signs that indicate whether you’re meant to stay with this person or not.

There’s something off, always

When you’re with your partner, you’ll get an odd feeling; an inexplicable emotion that tells you your relationship was missing something from the start. Even if you’ve been with your partner for a long time, you’ll always feel like there’s something missing in your relationship that can’t be filled by love.

Sudden on-off breakups

When you and your partner aren’t meant for each other, there will be more fights, misunderstandings, and even unexpected breakups. You and your partner may find yourself in a never-ending cycle of breaking up and reuniting, which isn’t any less toxic. You both have to accept that getting back together every time isn’t going to help you.

Feeling undeserved

The statement “you deserve better” is dangerously problematic. When you’re in a relationship, you shouldn’t feel like your partner deserves more or vice versa. It’s supposed to be fair, and you’re both supposed to accept each other’s flaws. However, if this feeling lasts for an extended period of time, you should not be with that person.

Feeling drained

Your relationship may be perfect, but that doesn’t mean you don’t appreciate the effort that has gone into it. If maintaining the relationship consumes all of your time, energy, and peace of mind, it may not be worth it. You may love your partner, but it shouldn’t take this much effort if your partner feels the same way about you.

Having nothing in common

When you’re diametrically opposed, you at least need to be eager to do what your partner enjoys. However, if you or your partner do not make an effort to cater to each other’s likes and dislikes, the relationship will not last long. Having nothing in common can be a big red flag that you’re not meant to be together.
