Ather Rizta Electric Scooter Unveiling: Spacious XXXXXL Seat and Generous Storage

Ather Energy, a prominent player in the electric two-wheeler industry, is set to unveil its new electric scooter, the Ather Rizta, on April 6. Marketed as a family-oriented scooter, the Ather Rizta boasts a spacious XXXXXL seat, claiming to be the largest in the scooter segment. Additionally, Ather suggests that the Rizta will provide the most generous storage capacity compared to other scooters available in the market. This unveiling comes as part of Ather Energy’s efforts to expand its electric scooter lineup, which currently includes models like the 450S, 450X, and 450 Apex.

As of now, Ather’s existing electric scooters are priced as follows (ex-showroom, New Delhi):

Ather 450S (2.9 kWh battery) – Rs 97,547

Ather 450X (2.9 kWh battery) – Rs 1,25,550

Ather 450X (3.7 kWh battery) – Rs 1,28,671

Ather 450 Apex (3.7 kWh battery) – Rs 1,88,947

In January 2024, Ather Energy sold 9,247 units of electric scooters, capturing an 11.33% share in the electric two-wheeler market, as reported by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). Despite strong competition from brands like Ola Electric, TVS Motor Company, and Bajaj Auto, Ather remains a significant player in India’s electric scooter market.
