Three characteristics that girls should look for in a partner before marrying

Many of us look for an eligible bachelor who has killer looks, a dashing personality, and is at least six feet tall. Add chivalry to the mix, and you’ve got the perfect match.

However, did anyone take the time to ponder these selection criteria and consider whether this is all that matters in the end? Some will say yes, while others will say no.

Not to mention, a specific set of looks can be someone’s criterion for looking for a suitable match, and we are not here to judge anyone based on that, but here are a few things that a girl should look out for in her partner before tying the knot.

The way he behaves with your parents

Yes, you love him with all your heart, and he loves you back just as much, if not more, but how he treats and behaves with your parents is also important. If your man has already begun addressing your parents as mom and dad, you can be confident that he has fully accepted them. If, on the other hand, he is constantly nitpicking about what your mother said or how your father acted, there is something wrong, and you need to address it as soon as possible. Why? Because if your man doesn’t respect your parents, there’s a good chance you’ll become a victim of his rude and selfish behavior in the future.

How concerned is he about your wishes?

We don’t mean Gucci or LV bags, or a trip to the Maldives. It is simply about the smallest things you desire in life, such as his time. If he respects your wishes, for example, if he comes home early just because you’ve been waiting to talk to him, it represents his love and care for you. He cares about you, and you should never let him go.

He motivates you to become a better version

There is a fine line between motivating people to improve and pointing out flaws, and the two should not be confused. If your partner suggests that you drink more water and take better care of yourself, it does not necessarily imply that he is losing interest in you. It reflects his tenderness and love. You’ll know he’s the one if he inspires you to go to work or do whatever you want. If his conversations are about him seeing your future with him rather than you doing the dishes or taking care of his house, it means you two will be happier together.
