PM Modi will launch multiple development projects worth over Rs 6250 crore today

New Delhi:  On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the districts of Uttar Pradesh and launch a slew of development projects worth more than Rs 6250 crore (November 19, 2021).

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), at around 2:45 p.m., the Prime Minister will inaugurate multiple projects in Mahoba as part of a significant initiative to alleviate water distress. These development projects will help alleviate the region’s water shortage and provide much-needed relief to the region’s farmers.

Arjun Sahayak Project, Ratauli Weir Project, Bhaoni Dam Project, and Majhgaon-Chilli Sprinkler Project are among them.

“The total cost of these projects exceeds Rs 3250 crore, and their completion will aid in the irrigation of approximately 65000 hectares of land in the districts of Mahoba, Hamirpur, Banda, and Lalitpur, benefiting thousands of farmers in the region. These projects will also provide the region with potable drinking water “According to a statement issued by the PMO.

In the evening, the Prime Minister will take part in a programme and lay the groundwork for a 600 MW Ultramega Solar Power Park in Garautha, Jhansi.

It is being built at a cost of more than Rs 3000 crore and will contribute to the dual benefits of cheaper electricity and grid stability.

“Tomorrow, November 19th, I will be in Mahoba and Jhansi to inaugurate several development projects that will benefit the Bundelkhand region. This includes key projects aimed at addressing the issue of water scarcity “PM Modi issued a tweet.

Today, PM Modi will also dedicate Atal Ekta Park in Jhansi. The park, named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, was built at a cost of more than Rs 11 crore and covers an area of approximately 40,000 square metres.

There will also be a library and a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the park.

In addition, PM Modi will formally hand over to the Indian Navy the Advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) suite designed by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) at a ceremony in Jhansi today. On November 19, 2021, the ceremony will be held as part of the Rashtra Raksha Samarpan Parv in Jhansi.
