Taapsee Pannu has denied doing Rajkumar Hirani’s next film with Shah Rukh Khan, saying, “If that happens, I would be the one screaming!”

In an interview with an entertainment blog, Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu addressed rumours that she would be co-starring with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The actress confirmed that the rumours were incorrect, and that if she, Shah Rukh Khan, and director Rajkumar Hirani collaborated, she would be the first to reveal it.

She said to Koimoi, “Mai hi khud apne chhat pe chadke bolungi agar aisa kuch ho raha hoga na. ‘Haye! logo ko nai pata chalna chahiye,’ koi sharam wali baat thodi na hai. This isn’t the kind of news you’re looking for. So I’ll be the one shouting when I sign and seal it. Toh aap kahi pe bhi hoge Bombay me, toh aap kahi pe bhi hoge Bombay me, toh aap kahi pe bhi hoge Bombay me, toh aap kahi pe bhi hoge Bomba”

(If there was something like that, I would be the one to go on my rooftop and announce it. This isn’t news to be embarrassed about.)

In February of this year, rumours circulated that Taapsee will be teaming with Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan on a “social comedy about immigration.” There was no official confirmation or denial from the producers or actors at the time. The reports appear to be speculative now that Taapsee has weighed in.

Taapsee was previously in the news after comments she made about her co-star Kangana Ranaut went viral. In a Hindustan Times interview, the former branded the latter “irrelevant,” which irritated Kangana, who resorted to Instagram to strike out at Taapsee for her remark.

On the job front, Taapsee will star alongside Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane in the film ‘Haseen Dillruba.’ She’s also working on the films ‘Loop Lapeta,’ ‘Rashmi Rocket,’ and ‘Shabaash Mithu.’
