Success Stories from UPSC Civil Services Results: Ernakulam Native Siddharth Secures Fourth Rank

The UPSC civil services exam results for the year 2023 have been released, showcasing tales of triumph and dedication. Among the achievers, Lucknow native Aditya Srivastava claimed the prestigious first rank, while Siddharth Ramkumar, hailing from Ernakulam, Kerala, secured the fourth rank, bringing immense pride to the southern state. Siddharth’s journey to success was marked by perseverance, as he achieved this feat in his fifth attempt. Interestingly, Siddharth, who ranked 121 in his previous attempt, is currently undergoing IPS training in Hyderabad, making his achievement even more commendable.

Notably, the success story extends beyond Siddharth, with several Malayalis making their mark in India’s most gruelling examination by securing positions in the top 100 ranks. Vishnu Sasikumar (31st rank), Archana PP (40th rank), Ramya R (45th rank), Benjo P Jose (59th rank), Prashant S (28th rank), Annie George (Rank 93), G Harishankar (Rank 107), and Fabin Jose Thomas (Rank 133) are among the proud achievers from Kerala who have earned their spot in the rank list. Additionally, Vineet Lohidakshan (169th rank), Manjusha B George (195th rank), Anusha Pillai (202nd rank), Nevin Kuruvila Thomas (225th rank), and Manjima P (235th rank) have also contributed to the remarkable performance of Malayalis in the UPSC examinations.

Siddharth’s astounding achievement left his parents pleasantly surprised, as they were unaware of his participation in the exams due to his ongoing IPS training. His success, along with that of other Malayali candidates, serves as a testament to the unwavering determination and hard work exemplified by aspirants from Kerala in the pursuit of excellence in civil services.
