Kerala Experiences Persistent Rainfall; IMD Issues Orange and Yellow Alerts for Multiple Districts

Kerala is currently facing prolonged and widespread rainfall, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue orange and yellow alerts for several districts.

The IMD has cautioned residents in hilly regions to remain vigilant as isolated thundershowers are anticipated.

Yellow Alert:

  • September 7 (Thursday): Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kannur, and Kasaragod.
  • September 8 (Friday): Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod.
  • September 9 (Saturday): Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod.
  • September 10 (Sunday): Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod.

Orange Alert:

  • September 7 (Thursday): Kozhikode and Wayanad.
