In Kottayam, a tender coconut seller drives an ambulance, leaving four people injured

Kottayam: Four people were injured on Friday after an ambulance lost control and collided with vehicles at Kattachira in Kottayam. When a tender coconut seller got behind the wheel while the driver was having a drink, the accident occurred.

The ambulance lost control and collided with oncoming traffic. The injured are in stable condition.

Around 4 p.m. on Friday, the incident occurred on Ettumanoor-Pala Road. The accident involved an ambulance from the Pala General Hospital. The ambulance driver had pulled over to the side of the road to enjoy a tender coconut drink from a roadside stand. The vendor then got into the ambulance and drove away. There was no patient inside the ambulance, according to reports.

The tender coconut vendor has been charged with reckless driving by Ettumanoor police.
