WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has recently added multi-device support for all users. Users can access the platform from a variety of devices, including their primary smartphone, thanks to the functionality. Users can add up to four devices to their WhatsApp account by using the multi-device feature on the WhatsApp website. After only a few weeks of use, users are already complaining about difficulties synchronizing data between connected devices. WhatsApp acknowledged the issue and stated that it is working on a solution.

Several customers have complained to WABetaInfo about WhatsApp automatically locking them out of their associated devices to address the synchronization issue. The update has also been made available to beta testers on both Android and iOS devices, according to the report. As a result of the new update, if a device experiences data synchronization issues, the platform will immediately log you out of your devices as a precaution.

The update addresses a number of issues in which chats between connected devices were not always properly synchronized. There are times when a discussion is not updated on any of the linked devices; for example, if you started a chat on your phone and wanted to continue it on your laptop, you would not see the entire version due to synchronization issues.

Those who have received the fix will see a notification when they go to WhatsApp Settings > Linked Devices. “Your devices were logged out due to an unanticipated event,” the notice states. “Please reconnect your electronic devices.”

Earlier this week, WhatsApp introduced a new Disappearing Messages feature. According to the company, users will soon be able to configure messages to be automatically deleted after a certain period of time. WhatsApp also announced that vanishing messages would be enabled automatically for all new chats.
