Navratri 2022: Impact Of The Nine Navratri Colours

Nine nights of Navratri represent the nine avatars of Goddess Durga. Each day of the festival, Durga is invoked as her different avatars, starting with Shailputri, then Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skanda Mata, Katyayani, Kaalratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri, and finishing with Brahmcharini.

Intriguingly, each day of the festival is dedicated to a particular colour, and people usually adorn dresses in those shades. Not just that, but the bright colours are also seen in the decorations. The nine colours are: yellow, green, grey, orange, white, red, royal blue, pink, and purple. The order changes depending on when Navratri falls.

The order of the colours for Navratri 2022 is as follows:
Day 1 – white
Day 2 – red
Day 3 – royal blue
Day 4 – yellow
Day 5 – green
Day 6 – grey
Day 7 – orange
Day 8 – peacock green
Day 9 – pink
