In India, 25 Omicron cases have been detected; the government emphasises the importance of adhering to precautionary measures

According to the Health Ministry, approximately 25 cases of the Omicron variant have been detected in the country thus far. Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary of the Union Health Ministry, also stated that the cases have mild symptoms and that less than 0.04 percent of total variants were detected.

A new case of Omicron was discovered in the Mumbai neighbourhood of Dharavi. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the individual had returned from Tanzania and was currently being treated at Seven Hills Hospital. The patient is also asymptomatic and has not been vaccinated, according to BMC.
