Sayaka Kanda, a Japanese actress, died after falling from a high-rise hotel where she was staying. The police have not ruled out suicide or foul play as potential causes of her death. Kanda is the daughter of actress Masaki Kanda and singer Seiko Matsuda. She was discovered dead in an outdoor area on the 14th floor of a 22-story hotel in Chuo Ward, according to reports, and was later confirmed dead in a hospital.

Sayaka debuted as an actress in 2001. She had appeared in numerous musicals and was also the voice of Anna in Disney’s 2014 hit anime Frozen, which was dubbed into Japanese. “It is with great sadness that we announce her death to her fans and those who have supported her,” a statement on Kanda’s website read. “We are still unable to accept her death and are attempting to cope with it.” It also stated that Kanda Sayaka (35 years old) died unexpectedly on December 18, 2021 at 9:40 p.m. The agency apologises for providing such a report to all of her supporters.
