Triple lockdown to be enforced in hotspots in Kerala

Triple lockdown will be imposed in COVID-19 hotspots in Kerala, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Normal lockdown will be enforced in all red zones. But hotspots in these zones will be under triple lockdown and under stringent restrictions. Triple lockdown will be imposed in other districts as it was implemented in Kasaragod district. Hotspots will be sealed with only one entry and exit point where officials led by high ranking police officers will conduct checks. “There are many roads that lead to a particular place. If several among such roads are found closed, people should not get angry but cooperate,” the CM said. Tamil Nadu will enforce strict lockdown for 60 hours starting from Sunday. Hence, vehicle checks at borders will be intensified, the CM said. Tamil Nadu has said that it would not allow any vehicles to cross the border.
