Naseeruddin Shah’s Secretary says he Likely To Be Discharged From The Hospital On Friday,

New Delhi:  Naseeruddin Shah, who was hospitalized to Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital on Tuesday after being diagnosed with pneumonia, is “doing well” and will be released on Friday, according to his secretary Jairaj. In Naseeruddin Shah’s lungs, a “small patch” of pneumonia was discovered, and he is being treated for it at the Hinduja Hospital. On Thursday, his secretary Jairaj provided an update on his health: “He’s doing fine. He could be released as early as tomorrow “PTI broke the storey. Naseeruddin Shah and actress Ratna Pathak Shah told PTI on Wednesday that the 70-year-old actor was suffering from a “small patch” of pneumonia in his lungs.

“Yes (he has a) small patch and all under control,” Ratna Pathak Shah told PTI and added: “(He is) Responding well to treatment so hope he’ll be discharged soon.”

Naseeruddin Shah is noted for his work in highly praised films including as Maqbool, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Masoom, Nishant, Sarfarosh, Iqbal, A Wednesday, and Monsoon Wedding, as well as his contribution to parallel cinema. He’s also appeared in a number of international films, including Such A Long Journey, The Great New Wonderful, and Mango Dreams.

Naseeruddin Shah has appeared in films such as Mohra, Ishqiya, The Dirty Picture, and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. He is a graduate of the National School of Drama (NSD) and the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).

Naseeruddin Shah, who has three National Film Awards to his name, was most recently featured in the acclaimed Amazon Prime Video web-series Bandish Bandits and the 2020 drama Mee Raqsam.

In addition to Naseeruddin Shah, renowned actor Dilip Kumar was hospitalised to the Hinduja Hospital on Tuesday with breathing problems. On Wednesday, hospital sources informed PTI that he is doing “great.”
