In Tamil Nadu, the DMK alliance crossed the absolute majority

Chennai: As the vote count progresses in Tamil Nadu, the DMK has a simple majority in the lead. With a lead of 234 seats in the 234 – member assembly, the DMK is leading in 139 seats and the AIADMK in 93 seats. T.T.V. Dinakaran’s AMMK is one seat ahead and Kamal Haasan’s MNM is one seat ahead.

Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy, DMK president MK Stalin and Makkal Neethi Mayyam president Kamal Haasan are in the forefront. Deputy Chief Minister O. Panirselvam is behind Bodinayakannur. DMK general secretary Duraimurukan Katpadi and BJP candidate Khushboo are behind in Thousand Lights. In Kolathur, MK Stalin’s lead crossed 16,000. In Chepauk, Udayanidhi Stalin leads with over 10,000 votes
