Veena George is new health minister of Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Aranmula MLA Veena George has been selected as the health minister. Succeeding KK Shailaja, Veena will be managing the health department in the new LDF cabinet. A former journalist, Veena is elected from Aranmula for the second time.

Reacting to the decision on the new post, Veena George said that she would try her best to fulfill the duties entrusted by the party. No matter which portfolio is given, it is the party’s decision. No official confirmation about the portfolio has been received from the party, she told the media.
