UAE reports 3,067 Covid-19 cases today, 1,055 recoveries, 3 deaths

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Sunday reported 3,067 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 1,055 recoveries and three deaths. Country’s total active cases stand at 42,789. During the last 24 hrs 3,88,572 additional tests conducted in the nation. The total number of cases in UAE as on January 16 are 805,248, while total recoveries stand at 760,268. The death toll now stands at 2,191.

Amid the surge covid 19, Omicron cases Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE) has issued the new measures for public school teachers and administrative staff attending schools physically.The measures include; dividing the teachers, administrative and technical staff into groups (for instance; A, B and C), and their working hours should not exceed 50 per cent for the coming week.

Schools should provide separate rooms for teachers and administrative staff, not allow them to mix at all times and stop conducting physical meetings. The meetings should be held virtually. In a circular distributed to all public schools in the country, the ESE said the measures will be implemented from Monday, January 17 until Friday, January 21.
