Covid 19 & Omicron: India-West Indies ODI series to be played in closed doors

Amid the surge of Covid 19 & Omicron, no spectators will be allowed inside the stadium during the ODI series between India and West Indies informed Gujarat Cricket Association on Tuesday. All the fixtures will be played behind closed doors owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rohit Sharma’s India will take Kieron Pollard’s side in the 50-over game format from February 6 to 11.

The matches will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium. After the ODIs, the two teams are scheduled to play a three-match T20 International series in Kolkata, for which the West Bengal government has allowed a 75 % audience inside the stadium.
