Kerala revises guidelines for international passengers; seven-day quarantine is not mandatory

The Kerala government has revised the guidelines for international passengers coming to Kerala. Those who are visiting the state for less than seven days need not undergo quarantine but should strictly follow COVID-19 guidelines as instructed by the Centre, informed health minister here on Tuesday.

The overseas travellers are allowed to stay at their house or hotel. But they must leave Kerala within 7 days. If any of these people test COVID positive, they must inform the matter to the health department and take medical care properly, explained the minister. However, Kerala on Tuesday reported 51,887 cases raising the caseload to 60,77,556 in the state. The state was showing an average TPR of 47.6 per cent for the last seven days.
