In Kerala today, 19,661 people have been confirmed as covid-19. Thiruvananthapuram 2380, Malappuram 2346, Ernakulam 2325, Palakkad 2117, Kollam 1906, Alappuzha 1758, Kozhikode 1513, Thrissur 1401, Idukki 917, Kottayam 846, Kannur 746, Pathanamthitta 638, Kasargod 461, and Wayanad 307 were confirmed in the districts today.

Over the past 24 hours, 1,28,525 samples have been tested. The test positivity rate is 15.3. Rutin sample, sentinel sample, CB Nat, Truant, POCT PCR, RT A total of 2,00,55,047 samples have been tested so far, including THE LAMP and antigen testing.

In the last 24 hours, no one from the UK, South Africa, and Brazil have confirmed the Covid-19. So far, 126 people from the UK (116), South Africa (9), and Brazil (1) have been confirmed by The Covid 19. Of these, 125 were tested negative. A total of 11 people discovered the virus that came with a genetic variant.

Today, it was confirmed that 213 deaths in recent days were caused by Covid-19. This brings the total death toll to 9222. Today, 156 of those confirmed have come from outside the state. 18,340 people were infected through contact. The source of contact with 1081 people is unclear. Thiruvananthapuram 2241, Malappuram 2272, Ernakulam 2181, Palakkad 1379, Kollam 1892, Alappuzha 1753, Kozhikode 1490, Thrissur 1394, Idukki 878, Kottayam 822, Kannur 684, Pathanamthitta 611, Kasargod 450, and Wayanad 293 were infected through contact.

Eighty-four health workers were infected. Ernakulam 15, Kannur 14, Pathanamthitta 11, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam 10 each, Kasargod 8, Wayanad 4, Idukki, Palakkad 3 each, Alappuzha, Malappuram 2 each, Thrissur and Kozhikode 1 each were infected.

29,708 people who were being treated for the disease have recovered. Thiruvananthapuram 2531, Kollam 4139, Pathanamthitta 905, Alappuzha 2040, Kottayam 1358, Idukki 922, Ernakulam 4910, Thrissur 1706, Palakkad 2569, Malappuram 4327, Kozhikode 1963, Wayanad 397, Kannur 1296, Kasargod 645. With this, 1,92,165 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are now being treated. 23,64,210 people have so far recovered from covid.

There are now 7,42,157 persons under observation in various districts of the state. Of these, 7,05,375 are under observation in house/institutional quarantine and 36,782 in hospitals. 2840 people were newly admitted to the hospital. There’s no new hotspot today. 10 areas were excluded from the hotspot. There are currently 877 hotspots.
