Continued Rain Expected in Kerala with No District-Wide Alerts

The Central Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating that Kerala is likely to experience ongoing moderate rainfall, particularly in hilly regions. Alongside the rain, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and accompanying winds. However, it’s important to note that no specific rain warnings have been issued for any district in Kerala today.

Residents along the coast and fishermen should exercise caution as there is a potential for high waves and storm surges along the Kerala coastline. Fortunately, there are no restrictions on fishing activities along the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts at this time.

Additionally, the Central Meteorological Department has reported that a cyclonic gyre, situated in the central Bay of Bengal, is expected to strengthen due to a low-pressure system forming in the northwest Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours.
