Private bus strike continues in Kerala; operators ask govt to increase the fare

Private bus strikes will continue in Kerala as the bus operators refused to call off the strike until the government increases the minimum fare. Addressing a press meeting here on Saturday, the bus operators declared that they will continue the strike in the state. They also raised that the government didn’t take any action to hold talks with them to settle the issue.

Meanwhile, students are struggling to reach school due to the bus strike. The majority of the students from rural areas are depending on private buses for commutation to school. KSRTC services are not available in many areas. Hence, students are facing a tough time amid the exam season. The private bus strike started in Kerala on March 24, Thursday.
