Karol Bagh hotel is caught by fire : Rescue operations are on full swing

NEW DELHI : Karol Bagh hotel is caught by fire. Nine people have reportedly died in a fire that broke out in a Delhi hotel early this morning.

News agency ANI reported that fire engines have been rushed to douse the fire at Hotel Arpit in Karol Bagh in central Delhi. At least seven people are critically injured in the fire that broke out at a hotel in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area on Tuesday, officials said.

Delhi Fire Service officials said they received a call at 4:35am about the fire at Hotel Arpit Palace on Gurudwara Road of Karol Bagh area.

According to deputy chief fire officer Sunil Chawdhary, 26 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Chawdhary said 25 personal were evacuated from the hotel and two jumped out of the building in panic.

A search operation is on to look for people who may be trapped inside the hotel.
Firefighting and rescue operations are underway.
