Black day for democracy: MP Shashi Tharoor slams Pinarayi Vijayan

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor slammed Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for banning black masks and outfits in his public events. Terming the move as a ‘black day for democracy, Tharoor urged CM to withdraw the restrictions immediately.

In wake of Pinarayi Vijayan’s “newfound aversion” to the black colour, the Calicut diocese asked the believers not to wear black outfits and masks during the centenary celebration function, to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Kozhikode on Sunday. The Opposition leader VD Satheesan also slams CM asking, “Will CM ban the black colour itself?”.
