Brahmapuram fire: Holiday for all educational institutions; public exams exempted

The district collector on Wednesday declared March 9 and 10 as holidays for all educational institutions in the regions affected by the Brahmapuram fire. The kindergartens, daycare centres, rural child care centres, schools (Govt/Aided/Unaided/CBSE/ICSE) and colleges (including professional colleges) in the below mentioned local bodies will have holidays:

Vadavucode-Puthencruz panchayat
Kunnathunad panchayat
Kizhakkambalam panchayat
Thrikkakara municipality
Tripunithura municipality
Maradu municipality
Kochi municipal corporation
Meanwhile, the holiday will not be applicable for public examinations (including SSLC, and HSE) scheduled.
