Shami Kebab ; spice up your taste buds

Shami Kebab is a yummy snack that can be made with chicken, mutton or veggies. They are juicy minced patties with spicy masala filling inside and a crispy outer crust. It goes well with coriander or mint chutney and ketchup.

Ingredients

Boneless chicken- 500 gm
chana dal soaked for 30 mins- 1 cup
cumin seeds- 1 tsp
Cloves- 7-8
black peppercorns- 7-8
Cinnamon- 2 sticks
coriander seeds- 2 tsp
carom seeds- 1 tsp
red chilli- 3
chilli flakes- ½ tsp
Ginger finely chopped- 1 tsp
Green Chillies- 2
Garlic finely chopped- 2 tsp
Coriander Leaves chopped- 1/2 cup
Mint Leaves chopped- 1/2 cup
Eggs- 2
Oil- 2 tsp
Salt- 1 tsp
Water- 1 cup

Method of Preparation-
First, take a pressure cooker and add some oil to it. Add cumin seeds, cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon sticks, coriander seeds, cardamom seeds, and dry red chilli and red chilli flakes into it one by one. Saute the ingredients for 2 minutes. Then, add the soaked chana dal and mix it well. Later, add the boneless chicken pieces, salt and water. Cook the chicken until it is tender in simmering. Let it cool. Take a blender and blend all the ingredients into a thick paste. Then add green chillies, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves and mint leaves. Combine all the ingredients by giving a good mix. Add an egg to the meat mixture and mix. Shape the mixture as flats or geoids. Break the second egg into a separate bowl. Take a pan and heat some oil. Take one patty and dip it in the egg. Shallow fry until golden brown. Shallow fry the other patties also. Serve hot
