Pakistani journalist crushed to death by Imran Khan’s truck during a rally

A Pakistani journalist was crushed to death by Imran Khan’s truck while covering a protest rally of the minister. The deceased was identified as Channel Five reporter Sadaf Naeem. Khan’s container ran over the reporter after she fell from it near Sadhoke.

The incident prompted Khan to halt the march that he is leading toward Islamabad to pressure the federal government into calling snap elections. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while reacting to the death of the journalist, said that he was “deeply saddened” by the reporter’s death.

Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi lauded the deceased and extended his condolences to her family and announced financial assistance worth Rs 25 lakh for her family.
