T20 World Cup Final; England vs Pakistan; Will 1992 history repeats?!

England and Pakistan are set to take on each other in the final of the 2022 edition of the T20 World Cup. Set to be played on Sunday, 13 November, the teams will battle it out at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground for their second trophy in the tournament’s history.

England has not come this close to the trophy since their heartbreak in 2016, where all-rounder Ben Stokes was hit for four sixes by Carlos Braithwaite in the final over of the match in yet another iconic venue – the Eden Gardens. This will be another chance for Pakistan to prove that they are a modern-day solid outfit under the leadership of Babar Azam and they trust in their process.

The game will be an evening fixture at the MCG, but it is expected to run longer than usual given the rain threat that is looming on Sunday. On that note, here are the full details for the final of the T20 World Cup Final.
